Soy Granules Fry



Soy Granules Fry

A good combination with Rotis / Rice.

Serves: 2

You will need

1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 spring curry leaves
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 cup (125 g) soy granules
1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder

Method

Cook soy granules as per the instructions shown on the packet.

In a wide pan, heat oil.

Add finely chopped onions and fry till golden color.

Add curry leaves and saute well.

Add chopped tomatoes. Stir well for 2 - 3 minutes.

Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Stir well on a low heat for 2 minutes.

Add soy granules and adjust salt to taste and pepper powder. Cover with a lid and cook on a low to medium heat for 10 minutes or until till done / the water dries up. Sprinkle garam masala powder and serve with Rotis / Rice.

  1. For me, soy is always a tricky ingredient, it always ends up tasting like sponge!! However this looks simple and flavoursome, will definitely give it a try!
