Potato Paneer Balls

Potato Paneer Balls

A tasty deep fried snack !!!

Makes: 5

You will need

2 potatoes, boiled and mash well

1 tablespoon paneer, cut into small cubes

½ teaspoon red chilli powder

¼ teaspoon turmeric powder

¼ teaspoon amchur powder (dried mango powder)

1 teaspoon finely chopped onion

2 teaspoon finely chopped coriander leaves

¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1 teaspoon corn flour

¼ cup (50 g) breadcrumbs

200 ml oil (to deep fry)

Method

In a wide bowl, mix all the ingredients together and make a soft dough (Do not add water , milk, maida …). Divide this dough into 5 parts and make round balls and roll it over breadcrumbs. Breadcrumbs should coat nicely and make strong balls. Deep fry immediately.

Heat oil in a frying pan / kadai. Reduce heat to medium and deep fry till golden color and crisp on both the sides.Drain and place on kitchen towel to absorb extra oil. Serve hot with tomato ketchup / green chutney .. or serve as a tea time snack / snack for birthday parties ..
