Peanut Butter Cookies – Recipe from BBC Goodfood India Magazine, November, 2013 !!
In a wide bowl, mix 80 g butter and 80 g peanut butter together until smooth.
Add 80 g powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
Fold in 100 g all purpose flour (maida) and mix till forms a dough. Divide the dough into 16 portions and roll into individual balls. If the oven is small, bake cookies in 2 batches. 8 cookies at a time.
Grease a baking tray with oil. Preheat the oven to (OTG) 160 * C. Flatten the balls lightly and place on the tray, making sure to keep them evenly spread. Leave 2 – inches gap between each balls. Sprinkle 2 tablespoon brown sugar evenly over the cookies (optional).
Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes till golden brown, then allow to cool. The cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
