Baby's growth - Month 4 & 5



Month -4

1, Now she is able to roll over from tummy to back and vice versa.
2, She will also start ‘’ swimming ‘’ in crib.
3, She can focus at different distance.
4, She is also becoming a social animal who laughs with delight and cries in anger.
5, She invents new sounds and tones, and seems delighted by them.

Month 5

1, Baby utters vowel sounds.
2, If you hold a mirror up to her , she can view herself in it.
3, She squeals , grunts, shouts.
4, She begins to resent strangers and cry in their presence.
5, She will try to move by rocking , rolling, twisting.
6, She aims well when reaching out to objects.
7, She can grasp objects , hold her bottle with one or both hands.

Baby's Growth - 2 nd and 3 rd Month



2 nd Month

1, Baby is more alert now.
2, Feeding and nap routine become established.
3, Coordination improves and , though neck muscles are still weak , she is able to lift her head for a few seconds.
4, She learns to quite herself by sucking her fists.
5, She can move her limbs in smooth , cylindrical movements.
6, Her cradle cap disappears.

3 rd Month

1, Now , baby may actually sleep through the night.
2, Her head is firm enough for her to hold it up without support.
3, She is fascinated by her extremities and tries constantly to get them into her mouth.
4, She begins to show signs of a memory and clearly awaits her feeds.
5, She can distinguish speech sounds from other sounds.
6, She can recognize family members and smiles a lot.
7, She gets on her stomach and leans on her elbows.
8, She can hold and involuntarily wave a toy.
9, Her facial expressions are clear.

Baby's growth - 1 Month



Your baby’s growth is indeed a miracle, a feat , a delightful track. Here’s a details of physical and emotional highlights , but remember that all children grow and mature at different paces , so don’t worry if your baby doesn’t exactly conform to this schedule.
Month- 1


1, In the first month , baby begins to respond to voices and movements.

2 , Her body movements become more coordinated – even if not quite like a ballerina’s.

3, Baby is also settling into a sleeping , crying , feeding pattern that will see her through the next few months.

4, Slowly , her vision is becoming fixed , through , at times , she will still squint.

5, Her neck reflexes becomes firmer. When put on her back , baby will turn her head to a proffered side.

6, She is slowly learning to tune in to some sounds and tune out most other ’ noises ‘.

7, By the end of the month , she is really smiling when the corners of her mouth turn up.

8, She stares for ages at an object , focusing , absorbing.

9, She responds well to all efforts at contact and loves to have people bend over her crib to coo and talk to her.
