Lemon Mint Cooler

Lemon Mint Cooler

A delicious lemon juice, made of lemon, mint and sugar or honey. This is also very popular in Sigree restaurant, Hotel Aruna Complex, Chennai.

Makes: 2 servings


12 fresh mint leaves

3 teaspoon lemon juice

6 teaspoon sugar or to taste (3 – 6 teaspoon) or 3 teaspoon honey or to taste

400 ml water / 2 serving glass

Lemon wedges or chopped mint leaves for decorating


Wash and clean mint leaves well. Make a fine paste of mint leaves with 1 tablespoon water in a small mixer bowl.

Transfer mint paste into another deep bowl and mix well with 2 cups of water,  lemon juice, sugar or honey to taste. Mix well until all the ingredients well combined / sugar melts well.  Finally strain and  keep aside to cool in a refrigerator for 2 - 3 hours and serve in tall glasses (or serve at normal room temperature). Decorate with lemon wedges or sprinkle chopped mint leaves.
