Sev Tamatar Nu Shaak

A sweet, spicy & tangy Gujarathi Curry !!!

Serves: 2

You will need

1 teaspoon oil
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
2 pinches turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon hing
1/4 teaspoon sugar
Salt to taste (or less than 1/2 teaspoon)
3 tablespoon tomato puree
2 tablespoon yellow sev
1 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves

Method

In a pan, heat oil on a medium heat. Add mustard seeds. When they crackle, add tomato puree and mix well.

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, sugar and hing. Mix all the ingredients well. Cover with a lid and cook on a low heat for 10 minutes or until tomato mixture thickens with all the spices.

Sprinkle sev and chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with Rotis / Rice.
