A delicious side dish with rotis / rice. Easy recipe with
minimum ingredients !!!
Serves: 2
Ingredients
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, finely sliced
¾ teaspoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
200 g paneer (cottage cheese), cut into cubes or any other
shape (paneer @ room temperature. Please do not take paneer from the refrigerator and cook directly)
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves (optional)
Method
Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onion and fry on a medium to
low heat until golden color.
Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix on a low heat
for 2 minutes.
Add paneer cubes and salt to taste. Do not add water for
cooking. Mix all the ingredients well. Cover with a tight lid and cook on a medium to low heat
for 7 minutes or until done and soft. Open the lid and check the texture of the
paneer. If it is spongy in texture, switch off the heat. Sprinkle chopped
coriander leaves and serve hot as a side dish with rotis / pulao / brown bread
/ whole wheat bread …
