Mix 3 teaspoon flour with 1/2 cup milk and make a smooth solution.
Add flour - milk solution and unsalted butter to boiled milk and boil again on a very low heat for 25 minutes; stirring continuously. The color of the milk will slightly change and milk thickens. Keep aside for cooling. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
Transfer the whole mixture into a mixer and beat well. Set aside in a freezer for 4 - 6 hours or till it is firm ( Highly recommending Tupperware airtight container for freezing ).

Now this certainly got my attention.
However, reluctant I would be to try making ice cream without making a smooth custard first...well, I guess I'll just have to make it and reserve judgement.
It does look somewhat promising...and I'm sure it can't be all bad ;o)
If the ingredients look good...I'm safe!
Thanks for sharing,
