Dhaba Style Masala Chai (Tea)
Serves : 2
Tip - Please use same measuring cup to measure water and milk.
You will need
1 full cup water
1 full cup milk
5 green cardamom (small size), crush cardamom pods
½ - inch piece ginger, chopped and crushed
2 small sticks cinnamon
3 – 4 teaspoons (4 teaspoons required for strong tea) tea powder
Sugar to taste (or 1 1/2 teaspoon per cup)
In a bowl, bring the milk and water to boil, adding the crushed ginger, cinnamon sticks, cloves and cardamom pods. Add tea powder and boil on a low heat for 5 minutes.
Strain into cups and serve hot. Sugar can be also added when boiling.
