Carrot Ki Subzi (Gajar Ki Subzi)
A tasty and low calorie side dish with rotis / rice !!!
Serves: 2
Ingredients
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, finely sliced
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
3 medium size carrots cut into thin slices
½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Method
Cut carrot into thin slices and microwave high on 750 W for 2 minute 30 seconds (Sprinkle 2 tablespoon water).
Heat oil in a pan. Add finely sliced onions and fry till golden color on a medium to low heat.
Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Stir well on a low heat.
Add microwaved carrot and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients well. Do not add extra water when cooking. Cover with a tight lid and cook on a medium to low heat for 8 - 10 minutes. Open the lid and stir well. Serve as a side dish with rice / rotis ..

do you have any other option other than keeping in an oven???
Hi Vyshali Ravikiran Mallya, Thanks for query on Carrot ki subzi :)Just sprinkle 2 - 3 tablespoon water along with sliced carrot and cook on a low heat on a non stick pan until done / tender / water dries up. It may take 10 - 12 minutes for normal cooking.No need to microwave.
