Spicy Garlic Chutney

A tasty garlic chutney, goes well as a side dish wit Rice/ Rotis / Thepla ..

Makes: 2 heaped tablespoon

Serves: 4


20 garlic cloves

4 teaspoon red chilli powder

8 teaspoon vinegar

½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

2 teaspoon oil


Peel off the skin of garlic cloves and wash well. Wipe each garlic clove gently with a soft kitchen towel.

Transfer the garlic cloves into a small mixer bowl and make a smooth paste with red chilli powder, vinegar and salt. Do not add water when making chutney.

In a small pan, heat oil. Add garlic paste and stir well on a low heat for 5 minutes. Serve as a side dish with rice / rotis / thepla
