This is an easy and inexpensive meal for your child. Soak a slice of wholemeal / brown bread ( remove thick sides ) in 1/4 cup milk until softened, then squeeze out the milk and break the bread into tiny pieces. Beat 1 egg lightly, mix with the bread and 2 teaspoons of milk. Melt 1/2 teaspoon of butter in a small frying pan and pour the egg mixture. Cook gently until lightly colored on the underside, then turn on the other side until cooked through. Serve hot with milk or fruit juice.
