Gobi Mutter Adraki ( A delicious side dish with Rotis / Pulao )

You will need
250 g cauliflower florets
100 g ( 1 cup ) mutter ( fresh green peas )
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds ( jeera )
1 onion, finely sliced
2 teaspoon ginger paste ( adrak )
1 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
3 - 4 green chillies, slit lengthwise
1/2 teaspoon salt ( or to taste )
2 - 3 tablespoon water

Method
Wash and clean cauliflower florets. Boil 2 cups water with 1/2 teaspoon salt and keep cauliflower florets for 10 minutes. Drain out water completely.
Heat oil in a wide kadai / frying pan. Add jeera ( cumin seeds ) and fry for 2 - 3 minutes or until fragrant.
Add finely sliced onion and fry till golden brown.

Add slit green chilli, ginger paste, coriander powder and turmeric powder. Stir well for 3 - 4 minutes ( or till the raw smell disappears ).
Add cauliflower florets, mutter, 2 - 3 tablespoon water ( just sprinkle water .... avoid adding more water ) and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients well. Cover with a tight lid and cook on low to medium heat for 15 minutes or until done / water dries up and mutter & cauliflower softens.
Serve as a side dish with Rotis / Rice / Pulao.
