Sonth Panak – A delicious refreshing drink. Recipe from ‘Festival Cookbook by Vimala Patil !!
Makes: 2 servings
Ingredients
2 cups water (Indian standard measuring cup of 200 ml / 1
cup / 8 oz capacity)
2 tablespoon melted and sieved jaggery
½ teaspoon pepper powder
½ teaspoon dried ginger powder (chukku podi)
Method
In a bowl, mix 2 cups of water and 2 tablespoon melted and
sieved jaggery. Cover and keep aside for half an hour until jaggery completely
dissolves in water and become a smooth solution.
Finally add pepper powder and dried ginger powder. Mix well
with thick tablespoon or ladle. Sieve it through a clean sieve and serve in
tall glass. It’s a very refreshing drink and tasty too.
