Gobi (Cauliflower) Ki Subzi


Gobi (Cauliflower) Ki Subzi

A tasty subzi goes well with Rotis and Rice !!!

Serves: 2

You will need

1 tablespoon oil

1 onion, finely sliced

¾ teaspoon red chilli powder (or 1/2 teaspoon / to taste)

¼ teaspoon turmeric powder

225 g cauliflower florets (net weight after cutting into florets)

½ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons water

1 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves

Method

Wash and clean cauliflower florets.

Heat oil in a frying pan. Add finely sliced onions and fry till golden color and crisp on a medium to low heat.

Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Stir well on a low heat for 2 minutes.

Add cauliflower florets and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients well. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons water (very little water).

Cover with a tight lid and cook on a medium to low heat for 10 minutes or until done / water dries up / cauliflower florets softens / well mixed with spices. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with Rice or Rotis.
