Oats Biscuits

Oats Biscuits

A very tasty & crispy biscuits made of oats and whole wheat.

Please use standard measuring cup, tablespoons, teaspoon and same measuring cup to measure oats, flour, butter and sugar.

Makes: 10 - 12

You will need

1/3 cup oats (80 g), make a fine powder

1/3 cup ( 80 g) wholewheat (atta)

1/4 level teaspoon baking powder

1/3 cup sugar (80 g), make a fine powder

3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon butter (50 g)

1 teaspoon honey

1/2 teaspoon extra butter / ghee (to grease baking tray)

In a bowl, mix wholewheat, powdered oats, powdered sugar baking powder, butter (50 g) and honey.

Knead it well for some time or until smooth dough. Do not add water / milk while making the dough.

Preheat oven (OTG) to 350 * F or 180 * C.

Grease baking tray with 1/2 teaspoon butter.

Knead the dough again and make small balls (10 - 12 balls), flatten them slightly and arrange on a greased baking tray. Leave enough space (1 – inch) between each biscuits and bake for 15 - 18 minutes or until there is a slight color change.

These biscuits don’t require long baking time. After approximately 13 minutes of baking, please watch through glass door. Initially the biscuits will become fluffy / color change and small cracks will start appearing on the surface. At this point switch off the oven and remove the baking tray. Do not bake any further. The biscuits will harden if over baked.

Keep aside to cool and store in an airtight container.
