Raisin Cookies
Makes: 9 - 12
You will need
1 cup (200 g) all purpose flour / maida
1 pinch salt
1/4 teaspoon cooking soda
50 g cooking butter
50 g powdered sugar
50 g raisins
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon butter (to grease baking tray)

Method
Preheat oven (OTG) at 425 * F or 220 * C.
Grease baking tray with 1/2 teaspoon butter.
Grease baking tray with 1/2 teaspoon butter.
Sift flour, salt and cooking soda. Add powdered sugar, butter and vanilla essence and rub with fingertips.
Add raisins, milk and knead to a soft dough. Make 9 - 12 small balls, flatten them slightly and arrange on a greased baking tray.

Leave enough space (1- inch) between each cookie (see the photo above) and bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until they turn brown color in color.
Keep aside to cool and store in an airtight container.
