Mushroom Pepper Fry
A tasty side dish / dry curry with rotis / pulao / rice… A quick preparation of mushroom !!!
Serves: 2
Ingredients
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion (1 big size
or 2 small size), finely sliced and separate each layer
6 garlic cloves, finely sliced
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon pepper powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
6 curry leaves
200 g mushroom
½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Method
Dilute red chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and turmeric
powder in 2 tablespoon water. Keep aside this spice mix.
Wash and clean mushroom gently. Drain out water . Wipe each
mushroom with a soft kitchen. Cut into desired shape and keep aside.
Heat oil in a karahi / pan. Add sliced onion and fry on a
low heat until golden color.
Add sliced garlic and fry till crisp. Reduce the heat to
low.
Add diluted spice mix
and stir well 2 minutes until the water dries up / raw smell goes / well
combined with other ingredients.
Add curry leaves and stir well.
Add mushroom and salt to taste. Do not add water when
cooking. Mix all the ingredients well. Cover with a lid and cook on a medium
heat for 7 minutes (mushroom will cook very fast) / until done / well cooked.
Now the mushroom contains 2 – 3 tablespoons gravy. Open the lid and stir continuously
for another 5 minutes until the water / gravy dries up /
dry in consistency. Serve hot as a side dish with rotis / rice / pulao / brown
bread.
